"Our association has less than a dozen volunteers to cover about fifty feeding sites. In total, this represents 500 street cats to feed! Unfortunately, we are running out of stock and we will soon have nothing left to give the cats...
At the moment, it's very hard financially: as winter approaches, people are afraid about their impending energy costs and hardly donate anymore... We don't have enough funds to buy kibble for the free cats, especially as prices are continuously rising!
We are very anxious, because it's precisely the worst time of the year to face a shortage. With the cold weather, cats need to eat a lot more to survive in the wild! We've already experienced terrible tragedies in the past, cats becoming weak and falling into hypothermia...We want to prevent this from happening again at all costs... but we can only do it with your help!"
"Up until not so long ago, we used to go to a veterinarian who gave us discounts on care. But as this veterinarian is now overbooked, we have to go some place else, where the care is much more expensive... Between sterilizations and medicines, each year our expenses are titanic! Faced with this, we have no money left to buy kibble for the cats...
And as people are afraid of the increase in energy prices this winter, they hardly donate anymore. As for our subsidies from the town hall, they cover less than a twelfth of our annual costs... It has become untenable, we need help to be able to continue taking care of the free cats!"
"Grisette is an older stray cat who was born on the streets. At her age, it has become very difficult for her to find food on her own. She eats things that are not always suitable for her and suffers from diarrhea. Lately, the poor girl has been losing weight... She won't make it through the winter if we can't give her kibble!"
"The subsidies we receive are clearly insufficient to cover the association's food costs and veterinary expenses. And our volunteers don't have much of a budget either: most are retired single women. They don't have the means to put more money from their pocket to feed the cats. As for me, I have already invested so much money... I don't have anything left!"
