Emaciated and traumatized, Calypso needs pellets!

1. He was traumatized by mistreatment...

Calypso is a 25 year old gelding with a tumultuous past. He was apparently beaten by his first owners. His second owner has tried everything, but Calypso still has a panic fear of whips and sticks.

2. He is very skinny!

When Calypso arrived, he was really skinny. Today, he still has almost 100 kg to gain!

3. With pellets, he could gain weight again

Rich in vitamins, pellets would help Calypso to regain a normal weight. Such a diet would also help us to gradually build up his confidence, so that he is less fearfull all the time.

4. The number of animals in care is increasing!

There is very little money coming in, but a lot of animals to take care of. In two days, we have taken in no less than 6 horses! People don't have the means to manage their animals anymore...

Unfortunately, the donations are very sporadic and are far from enough to allow us to buy food for all our residents.
