1. She is sick...

Mixie is a 4 years old cat, unfortunately suffering from coryza. Her nose is running, she sneezes and her eyes are watery... As she has lost her sense of smell, she has also lost her appetite and has lost a lot of weight.

2. She lives outside!

Mixie still lives outside, which does not help her condition. The cool, wet nights sleeping on the ground only make things worse for her!

3. With canned food, she could gain weight

A highly palatable and nutritious food like canned food would give Mixie back her appetite. She could then gradually gain weight again, and perhaps regain control of the disease.
