1. In France, Catherine has run out of kibble to feed the 127 stray cats who need it... The poor things risk starving to death!

"We are currently feeding 127 cats, distributed over 11 sites. Unfortunately, we have exhausted our supply of kibble. We operate day by day, trying to hold on with our personal finances, which are very limited.

The cats have been receiving less food for about a month and a half now. A canteen provides us with some leftover food to sustain the stray cats, but with the school holidays, we can no longer rely on that.

The cats are starting to stray, some have lost weight, others disappear or fight because they are hungry... The situation is already critical and will only get worse without kibble!"

2. Decline in memberships, very low donations, no subsidies : the association is facing a severe lack of resources!

"Life has become too expensive, so people give less and less. We have three times fewer members than in previous years! During our shopping trolley campaigns, we collect five times less food than before the Covid, and the kibble given to us is of lower quality.

Despite this drop in resources and the lack of subsidies, we must continue providing care. Eight new adult cats have recently arrived, along with around a dozen kittens! Some of these newcomers were sick, which means additional expenses. Without help, the association is heading for disaster!"

3. Skinny, sick and weakened by abuse, Kêkê won't survive without kibble...

"Kêkê is a young cat of about six months, who was abandoned at a feeding site after experiencing abuse. His former owner burnt him with cigarettes!

When we found him, he was in a pitiful state: his ears were infested with mites and he had a severe cat flu. Because of this, his growth is stunted and he is very underweight...

We do our best to care for him, but his eyes are often weepy. Too wild to be adopted and very vulnerable, he won't survive without kibble!"

4. Catherine isn't asking for money, she just needs kibble to save the stray cats from starving.

"I have been on the field since 1996, and my association has been around since 2006. In order to dedicate myself to the cats, I never take any holidays. I neither have the time nor the means...

Financially, it's extremely tough. Half of my pension goes to buying food for the cats. I barely have enough left to cover my expenses! I live day to day, which is very worrying. A helping hand with the kibble would allow me to breathe a little..."
