Positive for feline AIDS, Gregoire is struggling to heal from his injuries!

1. He was found injured and sick...

Gregoire is a tomcat of about 10 years old, who lived on the streets. He was reported because he was injured and hiding under a bush... We had him treated and neutered this summer: despite all our efforts, Gregoire refuses any contact and thus must live outdoors. As no one claimed him, a volunteer has kept him in her garden to protect him as much as possible.

2. His wounds are healing slowly due to FIV

Gregoire is FIV positive, the feline equivalent of HIV, which significantly weakens his immune system. He suffered from a facial abscess that had to be cleaned and disinfected several times. He also has a scar under his eye, as the suture did not hold. Because of his illness, his wounds are having a hard time healing...

3. Blankets would keep him warm

Blankets would help Gregoire better retain his body heat at night. This would be a good way for him to protect himself from the cold and humidity, which would aid his recovery despite his weakened immunity.

4. Our supplies have been depleted!

Our small association has been working since December 2019 to help cats. We feed 166 stray cats every day and we take care of weaned kittens or not, domesticated and feral cats. We also run sterilisation campaigns.

The end of the summer has depleted our supplies and we have had heavy veterinary costs for complicated situations. We need help to continue feeding all our wards!
