The owner of poor Furka was planning to shoot her!

1. She was at risk of being euthanised!

Furka is an elderly dog, who we took into our care several years ago, as her owner threatened to put her down!

2. She has had several strokes...

Furka has suffered from two strokes, leaving her with some damage: her head is tilted and she sometimes appears disoriented... We are currently treating her for it.

3. Her kidneys are no longer functioning properly...

Suffering from kidney failure, Furka is very thin. As her kidneys no longer effectively filter toxins out of her system, she struggles to regain weight.

4. To regain strength healthily, Furka will need specially adapted canned food

A diet specially formulated for kidney care would be perfect for Furka. Easy to digest and high in nutritional content, this food would potentially help her put on some weight. This could be a means to give her a strength boost during her later years.

5. Many of our wards have been maltreated...

We prioritise the care of hunting dogs and those who have suffered abuse. Currently, we have a large number of animals under our care, but unfortunately, no funding.

For the past three years since the foundation of our association, we have continually struggled!
