1. A severe virus is causing mouth pain!

Douce, a three-year-old cat, is suffering from a severe case of calicivirus. She bleeds from the gums, has mouth ulcers and the inside of her mouth is inflamed, making it difficult for her to eat. We administer cortisone injections for relief but she can't regain her strength and only weighs around 2.9 kg!

2. She lives outdoors…

Douce lives outdoors because she is unwilling to stay indoors. Therefore, she resides at a feeding site in the countryside. Unfortunately, there is no real shelter available for her there!

3. She is going to need some canned food to withstand her situation

Wet food, that's easy to swallow, would be perfect for Douce. Nutrient-rich canned food would provide her with the daily energy she needs. It would thus be easier for her to face the challenges inherent in a feral cat's life.

4. The arrival of kittens will throw everything into turmoil...

The birthing period of the kittens is fast approaching and a lot of them will most likely be ill. Given that we already have around fifty animals to feed, we don't know how we'll manage... Our food supplies are virtually at zero!
