Weak, depressed and often severely injured when they arrive at the shelter, they won't make it if they don't eat proper food ! The weakest already died...
We can help them by sending 5 400 kgs of dry food for dogs !

1) When we went to the shelter on the 15 of March, we saw the dogs eating bread to save food for later !
The dogs are so hungry that they are literally swallowing the bread !
Alina and Anda are so scared to be lacking dog food that they took the hard decision to feed the dogs with bread as a complement... This diet is so dangerous for them that it might increase the risk of death for the weakest !
2) When we met Anda, she told us about her biggest fear : at the end of the month they won't have any dog food left...
Their only hope is to ask for help on the social medias
As no foundation nor the Government agrees to help them, Alina and Anda have to stick with cryings for help on Facebook. Unfortunately, they have too many charges to deal with : the maintenance of the shelter, the veterinary costs and the purchase of dog food, they are always struggling...
The only way they have to keep feeding the dogs is to buy some them sleves but they don't have enough money to buy on a daily basis ! This solution won't last very longer...
3) Too weak when they arrive at the shelter, some dogs already died in the past... If we don't send dog food, it might happen again !
Because of a stomach disease, Yummy couldn't make it... She died last January, 2 weeks after she arrived at the shelter.
Josephine died last February because of heart issues : living conditions were too hard to deal with in Romania...
Hit by a car, Carina was too injured to survive... She died last February.
When the dogs arrive at the shelter, they are so weak that they need proper food with lots of nutriments to help them recover from the pain and the injuries.
Unfortunately, some of them are so weak already that they never make it through a week, despite all the care Alina and Anda are bringing them.
Treatments and surgeries are sometimes not enough to gain their strength back : the dogs must eat proper food to get better !
4) If the collection fail, the dogs won't receive any food...

We can swing into action, we have already booked a truck and pallets for 5 400 kg of dry dog food, but we have to pay it before March 22th.
If the collection fails, we will not be able to pay, the departure of the truck will be cancelled and none of the collected food will be delivered...
If the collection fails, we will refund all donors.
5) To save all the dogs we have met at the shelter, we must help Alina and Anda !
Aged of 2 weeks Dora is very weak and will have trouble growing up properly without good food...
Hit by a car, Maggy has been severely injured... To recover, she will need to eat proper food !
Maggi won't survive at the shelter if she doesn't eat properly...
Because of a pancreatitis Rosa is weak and has trouble digesting... Bread is dangerous for her !
Alina and Anda had to amputee Samy from one of his leg... He needs good food to recover from his surgery.
6) When we met Anda at the shelter, we were impressed by her amazing devotion !
Anda's life is dedicated to dogs well being !
Mother and daughter have to live at the shelter to save money...
Anda hasn't changed since our last visit last January : rain or shine, she is always be taking care of the dogs !
Anda passed her passion away to her daughter Alina. Together, they insure the maintenance of the shelter, save the dogs from the streets, treat them and promote them so that they can have a chance of finding a loving family, far away from the misery of their country...
7) The dreadful public shelters of Romania

Dog hunters, commonly known as "Dogcatchers", receive money for each dog captured. This perverse system encourages them to pick up as many dogs as possible, regardless of whether they have owners or not...
Once the animals are in their premises, they no longer bring any money, and must therefore disappear as soon as possible to free up some space for the next ones. The luckiest of them are euthanized, the others starve to death, crammed into their enclosure in complete indifference...
8) What will the 5 400 kgs of dry food be used for?
If the collection succeeds, the 5 400 kgs of dry dog food will be given to the 240 dogs gathered at Alina and Anda's shelter.
