1) There is no food left at the shelter, they are hungry ... Desperate, Maria tries to feed them without protein with dry bread! It's a deadly diet, several dogs have died last month.
Aurora was found alone in the middle of a field: the bread did not give her the strength to survive, she was too weak ... She died at the end of March.
Very sick when he was rescued from Babeni's Public Shelter at Valcea, Maria failed to save Gus, he died last January ...
Chappy did not manage to fight his disease, the living conditions at the Public Shelter were too hard... After weeks spent at the vet, he unfortunately died in February.
Zoe was so weak that she didn't survive after having spent too much time at the Public Shelter... She died in February.
Attacked by the other dogs in her box, Bailey was too weak and didn't survive her wounds at the end of March ...
2) We went to the shelter on April 22th: dogs were gathering around the empty bowls...

Bread is cheaper than kibbles, it allows Maria to feed the dogs everyday.

We heard Maria's cry for help: our collaborator Benjamin went to the shelter to witness the current situation.
We were able to see the living conditions of the 250 dogs Maria is hosting: despite her best efforts, Maria has no choice but to feed the animals with bread... This diet is dangerous for them!

4) If the collection fails, dogs won't receive any food

"They are my everything, I am there every day to watch over them". Every single day of every week, without exception, Maria takes care of her 250 dogs. Alone most of the time, she told us about her dismay: how to let the dogs starve in pain when none of them asked to live in so much misery?
Without ever giving up, Maria continues to fight. Considered as the owner of an illegal shelter by the authorities, she is looking for a new place to welcome all her dogs without accumulating anymore debts and fines from the City Hall ...

This collection is organized by the Hilfe Statt Trost e.V. association, the 4,200 kilos will be delivered to Maria to feed the 250 dogs welcomed at her shelter.
