Cerasela contacted us as a last hope, she is desperate ... Until now this volunteer brought kibble to the poor dogs, but today she has no money left to buy any food.
1) On July 27 there will be no more kibble at Breasta's Public Shelter : 280 dogs are already suffering from the heat, now they are hungry!
Dogs are weakened by high temperatures...
On July 27, the kibble Cerasela bought will be gone...
Summers are really hot in Romania!
The current hot weather is very difficult to face: dogs are weak, they need kibble to regulate their body temperature. As the boxes are very poorly maintained, dogs need all their energy not to avoid diseases and parasites to kill them.
Unfortunately, the City Council monthly delivery is already gone : Cerasela had to buy Kibble by herself to feed the dogs. Today, she doesn't have the means to buy more while the current stock will be gone in a few days...
2) We visited the Public Shelter on July the 20 th : Cerasela cannot afford to buy kibble anymore!
Cerasela spends all her money in food and medical cares.
The budget allocated by the Town Hall to Breasta's Public Shelter is not enough: every 15th of the month, there are no more kibble to feed the dogs! To avoid a slaughter, Cerasela and her friends use their own money to finance the food.
But between veterinary fees and the feeding of the dogs, Cerasela can no longer afford to keep up with this pace ... Overwhelmed, she is asking us to help her so that she can continue to save the dogs and prevent them from a certain death.
3) Supermarket collections, cries for help on social medias: Cerasela doesn't get enough donations to buy kibble for all the dogs...

Volunteers try to raise awareness about sterilization to improve the situation of street dogs, but donations are too small ...
Volunteers multiply action groups to bring together as many donors as possible.
Not enough donors are answering their cries for help...
The supermarkets fundraising are not big successes.
Volunteers fail to reach enough potential donors ...
Cerasela goes to Breasta's Public Shelter every day to make sure that the sickest dogs' state of health is stable and that it is not getting worse ... When a dog is in danger of death then she takes the responsibility to take them home and to the vet with her own money!
Today, Cerasela is physically exhausted and can not afford to pay all these costs by herself anymore ... She calls us for help!
4) Boxes are not being cleaned, diseases are spreading away : without food, dogs will be too weak to survive...
Some dogs have to face the heat without being able to get shade!
Those lucky enough to enjoy a little shade still have to live in the dirty and infested boxes ...
The heat spreads the diseases much faster!
The living conditions of the dogs locked in Breasta's Public Shelter are catastrophic. If the dogs keep living on an empty stomach, this situation might be fatal !
Weakened by so much heat and misery, dogs need adapted food to survive while hopping to find a new family ...
5) If the collection fails, the dogs won't receive any kibble...

We can take action, we have already booked a truck and pallets, but we have to pay it before July 26th.
If the collection fails, we will not be able to pay, the departure of the truck will be cancelled and none of the collected kibbles will be delivered...
If the collection fails, we will refund all donors.
6) We want to help the dogs we have met!
Lolla is already sick, without kibble she will not be able to fight!
Safira is in danger: she is skinny and covered with ticks...
Max is blind and has a very poor state of health. He won't make it if he has an empty stomach...
Lily will have to heat adapted food to survive the Public Shelter...
April is only 7 months old and is very skinny!
7) Cerasela already welcomes more than 30 dogs at home: overwhelmed, she is scared not to be able to feed the dogs anymore...
Cerasela knows every single dog at the Public Shelter!
Cerasela dedicates her entire time to street dogs: she has no private life ... She is 100% involved into the misery of these abandoned dogs.
Without the help of Cerasela and some other volunteers, Breasta dogs would have no chance of surviving the terrible conditions of the pound!
Today, we want to help them continue their rescue miracles by sending them food!
8) The plight of stray dogs in Romania.
Breasta's Public Shelter is located near Craiova in southwest of Romania.

10) What will the 3000 kg collected be used for ?
This collection is organized by the German association Förderverein Podencorosa e. V. The 3000 kilos of kibble collected will be delivered to Cerasela to help her feed the 280 dogs in the public shelter of Breasta.
