1. A virus causes her various pains that prevent her from eating...

Mini Red is a 4 and a half month old cat, who has a calicivirus like her mum. Her gums are red and inflamed, she coughs and she has difficulty chewing because it is painful. So we put her on medication.

2. Canned food would allow her to gain strength

With foamy canned food, Mini Red could eat without chewing. This would allow her to regain her strength, without feeling too much pain in her gums. Her growth would not be affected, and she would grow up normally!
