1. In Romania, Andreea will soon run out of kibble to feed the 90 puppies under her care. If no one does anything, they could starve to death!

%%%

"There are so many puppies abandoned... People keep calling me everyday to tell me where to find them. Some people keep the mother and only abandon the puppies, others abandon the mother with the puppies... I currently have 90 puppies under my care and their number is constantly on the rise.

What makes it worse now is the fact that it is vacation time and people do not adopt this time of the year, so I really struggle to buy food for everyone. I try to ask for help, but donations are few, and leftovers from restaurants nonexistent.

Right now I only have enough left for 4 days and no idea how to get some afterwards. It makes me really scared  and torn because all I do is for these puppies. I love them to the moon and back and every dog I lose affects me. I couldn't imagine losing puppies because I don't have enough food..."

2. Many puppies are recovering from diseases and need kibble to survive!

###

"Parvo killed many of the puppies under my care recently. No matter how good you administer the treatment, some get through it, some don’t...  It is the worst feeling, it is scary and makes me feel powerless.

Many puppies thankfully survived and are currently recovering from the disease, but they are still very weak and need food to grow and get better. I desperatly need this action to be successful or they won't stand a chance...

I rescued these puppies from terrible places and predicaments, some I found in the woods tied up in bags... If I didn't rescue them, nobody else would have picked them up. Now I need to make sure I'm giving them the best possible chance at a nicer life and food is paramount for that, I cannot let them go hungry, they are just tiny innocent souls..."

3. Snowball managed to survive parvo but she is still very frail and weak and won't achieve a complete recovery without kibble!

###

"Snowball is 3 months old, I have had her for about a month. I was informed by someone that there is a mother and her puppies in the forest. When I went there, the mother was tied up to a tree and her puppies around her. They were dirty, had no food or water and were almost dead. 2 puppies actually died, and 2 lived, among them Snowball.

Snowball had parvo but survived. She is getting better but she is tiny, one of those "pocket dogs". She doesn’t stand a chance in front of others and needs food to grow and fully recover. After all she's been through,, I hope she will eventually find a loving home, because she craves attention."

4. With no help for puppies and donations at an all-time-low, Andreaa can no longer buy kibble!

###

"I only get food from donations and  the occasional people who bring 1-2 bags, usually when they adopt. Donations have massively dropped though and with summer here, it's even worse. People are on vacation and they don’t have the time or the money to make donations. August is a very hard month.

Unfortunately my own personal funds are highly insufficient to cover all the expenses and I get no help from the municipality either so I struggle a lot to buy food for the puppies. I am a fairly positive person, I don’t dwell too much in the negative aspects but that doesn’t mean it's not hard or that I don’t feel sad.

Still, I can't just stand there and do nothing, I have to act, reach out to people and try to make things better. I can't take time-off because the people who abandon dogs definitely don't... I really hope adoptions will resume once summer is over but at the moment, I am in desperate need of help regarding food."

5. Andreea isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the puppies from starving!

###

"I started rescuing animals over 10 years ago. At first I brought 1 home, then 2, then they got more and more. For the longest time, my boyfriend said I would have to sleep outside with the dogs if I brought one more home but in the end, he understood this is my passion and my soul!

I worked actively and begged City Hall to help us fund the shelter, then I worked to build it. I spent nights here working like crazy to make this work. A decade later, I am proud to say we have rescued, sterilized and found homes for hundreds of dogs."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Andreea will not receive any money but 1800 kg of junior kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistic platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Overwhelmed by animals in distress and lacking support, Andreea needs this campaign to succeed.

"I have the Facebook page where I post about the dogs and ask for help, some people send me donations, which I'm immensely grateful for. Overall though, my posts asking for donations are not so successful.

Maybe people have other priorities or simply don’t care and are tired of hearing the same thing over and over about dogs... Many people feel that if it doesn't personally impact them, the problem doesn't exist.

I attend local events to gather some food, but they're definitely not as successful as they were prior to the pandemic either. I really need this campaign to succeed so I can secure food for the puppies for the months to come!"

8. Actions launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The organizer doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

9. In Romania, it is difficult to find funds for kibbles, there are no aid, no grants, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, in complete indifference...
