Deaf because of ear cancer, Pilou is now more at risk of being hit by a car...

1. He is deaf and had ear cancer...

Pilou is a deaf cat. Because of cancer, the vet had to cut off the tips of his ears. From now on, we must make sure that Pilou stays in a safe area.

If he starts to wander around looking for food, he is much more likely than his fellow cats to be hit by a car, as he will not hear it coming.

2. Canned food would help to keep him in a safe place

With sufficiently nutritious canned food given regularly in the same place, we could succeed in keeping Pilou safe. He could then regain his strength daily, without putting himself in danger.

3. Abandonment cases are on the rise!

It's tough right now, we are dealing with a lot of abandoned adult cats and kittens with or without their mothers. This phenomenon is even bigger than in previous years. And as we don't have any more food stock, the situation is not sustainable...
