Painful gums, ear cancer and a very skinny body: Mousse is in a very bad situation...

1. He probably has a disease that weakens his immune system...

Mousse is a very skinny cat, although he eats normally. We fear that he is FIV positive, and that the disease has started to affect his immune system. We will have him tested soon, but we fear the worst...

2. He has ear cancer

Mousse's ears are unfortunately starting to blacken. It is the beginning of ear cancer, which we will have to watch closely.

3. His gums are really hurting!

Mousse has a big gingivo-stomatitis: his gums and his pharynx are so inflamed that he can't eat kibble anymore.

4. With canned food, he could eat again without too much pain

Easier to ingest than kibble, canned food would help Mousse eat without too much pain. He could then regain his strength, and perhaps reach a normal weight after all.

5. Our resources are desperately empty!

We have not been able to resume in-store collections, as all the slots are already taken. Memberships and donations are at a standstill... With all the sick kittens we had to take care of and feed this summer, our coffers are empty!
