1. In Romania, Crina will soon run out of kibble for the 140 dogs in her shelter. The dogs will not survive the winter if no one intervenes!

%%%

"I started rationing the amount of kibble already two weeks ago. The situation is desperate because the remaining food barely covers two days. Winter is coming soon, I have to prepare myself and find kibble as soon as possible!

I recently welcomed a dozen new dogs, which means even more mouths to feed... My worst fear is that this winter period will be fatal for the dogs, because with the temperatures dropping, they need to eat enough to maintain a good body temperature. I am afraid that the dogs will be very affected by the lack of food, they will weaken, get sick, fight...

This is a complicated time for everyone: my personal funds are limited, donations are scarce and all other organizations are overwhelmed with requests for help. This campaign is my last chance to feed the dogs this winter."

2. Crina saves stray dogs alone, without kibble, they will die in the street...

###

"My shelter is the only option for stray dogs in the area. Many dogs are abandoned each season and I am their only hope. Without the shelter, many dogs would starve to death on the streets, be hit by cars, or even killed by angry people.

There is no public service to pick up stray dogs in the area. The nearest pound is in Constanta, but it is always crowded and offers abominable living conditions to the dogs!

Lately, I have been increasing the number of dogs at the shelter because I have come across some desperate cases that I could not ignore. For example, this week the shelter took in 10 dogs from the pound, all in very bad condition... It's an added pressure, I absolutely have to find kibble to save these dogs from misery!"

3. Hanna has already started to lose her coat for lack of kibble...

###

"Hanna was brought to us by her owner, an unethical dog breeder. She was used for breeding for a long time, but when she was no longer able to breed, her owner got rid of her...

Poor Hanna is old and very sensitive: when she is not well fed, she starts to lose her fur. Unfortunately, she is already starting to shed since she is not eating enough... She needs to be fed appropriate amounts of quality kibble to survive the winter!"

4. Since the pandemic, donations have dropped sharply and the association receives no subsidy, Crina can no longer buy kibbles.

###

"Before the pandemic, donations were more regular. People would visit us and bring kibble, blankets, toys... Today, donations are scarce, the economy has been hit hard by Covid, prices have gone up and many people have lost their jobs.

The shelter only runs on donations and my own income, but this is far from enough. I organize fundraisers but they don't work. My only option is to spend all my savings on kibble, but that's not even enough to feed half the dogs in the shelter...

As the number of dogs has increased in the last few weeks, I really need this campaign to work, it is the last hope for my dogs!"

5. Crina is not asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"I started Negri's place 13 years ago when I met Negri, a stray dog that I started feeding. He touched me so much, I fed him, cared for him, and found a great family to adopt him. Negri saved me and gave me a new purpose in life, so I wanted to help as many dogs as possible.

I am proud that I was able to create this shelter on my own. It wasn't easy, but I stayed strong and focused to overcome all the challenges I faced. I would like to expand my shelter in the future, although deep down I would prefer that it wasn't necessary, that there are fewer and fewer dogs on the streets.

I try to educate and teach people to love and cherish animals, but if nothing changes in the legislation, the fate of thousands of stray dogs is sealed. I hope to be successful in organizing another spay/neuter campaign in the spring to control the number of dogs in the area, but in the meantime, what I want most in the world is to take care of the dogs in my shelter and have them survive the winter..."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Crina will not receive any money but 3000 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction logistic platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Appeals for donations no longer work and Crina's own supporters are overwhelmed, this campaign is her last hope to get kibble.

"The pandemic has turned the economy upside down and caused people to be more careful than before, they are prioritizing their family's future and I totally understand that. Unfortunately, my shelter cannot survive without donations, and with my savings depleted, I am running out of options. In spite of all my efforts, I can't buy any more kibble!

I sincerely hope that mentalities will change with time, that dogs will soon no longer know misery in the street, but I am afraid that we will still have to fight for a long time. Today, I wish more than anything that this campaign succeeds, that the dogs can survive, that they have a chance to know a better life with a loving family!"
