Sally has laminitis, an inflammation of the foot that can put her in danger...

1. She has laminitis

Sally is a 25-year-old ponny, who has laminitis. When we took her in, her hooves were like slippers because the bone in her feet had already tipped over a lot.

If the bone tilts again, there will be a risk of death. So we have to constantly make sure that Sally keeps a certain weight, so that we don't put too much strain on her feet.

2. With pellets, she could maintain a reasonable weight

Winter is approaching, and with it, very harsh temperatures for horses. Pellets would be perfect to help Sally gain weight in a measured way. This would allow her to get through the winter more calmly.

3. Rescues are increasing!

There is very little money coming in, but a lot of animals to care for. In two days, we have taken in no less than 6 horses! People don't have the means to manage their animals anymore...

Unfortunately, the donations are very sporadic and are far from enough to allow us to buy food for all our boarders.
