Arthritis, injury to a leg, fear of humans... Oushta needs to regain his strength and confidence!

1. She is fearful since she was injured...

Oushta is a 14 year old mare, who has been with us for a few months. In the past, she must have taken a bad blow to her left hind leg, because she was limping a lot when we took her in.

Now she can move normally again, but she is still very fearful. We find it very difficult to approach her...

2. She has arthritis while she is still young!

Oushta already has a lot of arthritis for her age. It is absolutely necessary that she maintains a correct weight and that she keeps some muscle mass. Otherwise, she will put too much strain on her joints and her problem may get worse.

3. Pellets would help her stay fit and regain confidence

With pellets, Oushta would be able to fill up on energy to keep her at the right weight. Such a diet would also help us to restore her confidence in our presence, which would help to calm her down.

4. Equines in need are counting on us!

Volunteers are few and our financial means are very limited. These facts considerably reduce our field of action! But the horses are counting on us: most of them are old and need care and supplementation.
