1. He was going to end up in the slaughterhouse...

Goliath is a 25 year old pony, who had been judged too old and was at a horse dealer's, who was going to leave him to the slaughterhouse. Fortunately we took him in right in time!

2. He was in terrible shape!

Goliath had big wounds on his body. We don't know what happened to him, but he was also very skinny.

3. Pellets would help him recover

With vitamin-rich pellets, Goliath would be able to regain weight. He would then be in better shape for the coming winter.

4. We can't make it!

We have had a lot of rescues all at once. In total, we are managing 40 horses! There are a lot of vet expenses and feed purchases... We just can't get by!
