1. He limps after an accident, but it is not operable...

Orion is a cat of about 5 years old, who was hit by a car. Unfortunately, we found him too late: broken, his hind leg had already been badly reattached.

As it is not operable, he will probably limp for life! For a cat who lives outside like him, everything is more complicated with such a handicap...

2. Pain in the mouth prevents him from chewing

Orion has a calicivirus. Painful and inflamed, his gums prevent him from eating kibbles. For now, he still has his teeth, but they may have to be removed.

3. Canned food could help him get his fill

Easy-to-eat, high-protein canned food would be perfect for Orion. They would give him the energy he needs to get through the day despite his disability.

4. Veterinary expenses are exploding!

Of the 30 or so cats in our care, most are sick. Lately, we have seen the veterinary fees explode! We even had to take out a loan, because we couldn't afford it otherwise...
