Due to an inflammation in her mouth, poor Bagherra has no teeth and can't chew...

1. She was abandoned outside!

Bagherra is a 6 years old cat, who was abandoned near a cemetery about 3 years ago. Since then, she still lives outside, because she has nowhere else to go... She sleeps on the ground, in the cold and the humidity.

2. She doesn't have any teeth left...

Bagherra had a calicivirus. The inflammation in her mouth was hurting her a lot, so the vet took out her teeth to relieve her. She is better, but unfortunately she can't chew since.

3. Canned food would help her get her strength back

Canned food would be perfect for Bagherra. They would allow her to regain her strength despite her lack of teeth. This would give her a better chance to survive the winter.

4. Veterinary fees are skyrocketing!

Of the 30 or so cats in our care, most are sick. Lately, we have seen the veterinary fees explode! We even had to take out a loan, because we couldn't afford it otherwise...
