Mouss was in a place where the dogs were eating each other... the poor guy was traumatized!

1. He was in a place where dogs ate each other to survive!

Mouss is a 15 year old German Shepherd who was abused several times when he was young. He ended up with other dogs, who were eating each other to avoid starving to death...

So Mouss was in a pitiful state when he arrived: he was skinny and missing hair in some places!

2. He kept psychological after-effects...

Traumatized by his past living conditions, Mouss had become dangerous. It took a lot of patience and kindness, but after 6 months, his behavior began to soften.

3. He has arthritis!

As he got older, Mouss' joints became more and more inflamed. He limps and has to take a treatment...

4. Canned food would allow him to take his medication without difficulty

With adapted wet canned food, Mouss could take his osteoarthritis medication without any problem. It would also be an opportunity for him to eat his fill, in a much calmer context than what he has known.

5. Taking care of elderly animals is very expensive...

We take care of 107 dogs and 26 cats. Many of the animals we take in come from abroad, from the street or from individuals. There are many requests, but we give priority to sick and elderly animals.

Most of them have suffered all their lives... so we want to bring them comfort and allow them to eat their fill. But all this has a cost: 50 000 euros of veterinary expenses last year alone!
