Damaged kidneys, dysfunctional liver, heart problems: poor Célestin is not doing well, but he keeps on hanging on... we absolutely must help him!

1. He has been mistreated and still has serious after-effects...

Célestin is a 14 year old dog, who arrived from Romania three months ago. In his country of origin, he was unfortunately very mistreated and lived in a cage.

This quarantine caused him neurological disorders: as he was locked up, he was going in circles all the time. His neurons did not function normally anymore...

2. His kidneys, his heart and his liver did not function properly anymore!

With the hard life he had before, Célestin contracted heavy health problems. His liver is out of whack, and he has kidney and heart failure. All of this makes him very vulnerable. He has very heavy medications to take daily.

3. He has no teeth

With age, Célestin has lost all his teeth. He can no longer eat kibble. Despite all his worries, he is very grateful, happy to live and very cuddly... We would love to help him more!

4. Canned food would allow him to gain strength and swallow his medication more easily

With age-appropriate, easy to swallow canned food, Celestin could gain strength every day without chewing. This would make it easier for him to take his medicine and get better.

5. Taking care of elderly animals is very expensive...

We take care of 107 dogs and 26 cats. Many of the animals we take in come from abroad, from the street or from individuals. There are many requests, but we give priority to sick and elderly animals.

Most of them have suffered all their lives... so we want to bring them comfort and allow them to eat their fill. But all this has a cost: 50 000 euros of veterinary expenses last year alone!
