Immune deficiency, heart failure, osteoarthritis: Pépère is not well, he needs to get stronger!

1. His immune system is no longer effective...

Pépère is a cat of at least 12 years old, positive to FIV. This disease, more commonly known as "feline AIDS", destroys little by little all his immune system. As a result, Pépère is much more likely to develop health problems.

2. Osteoarthritis prevents him from moving!

Unfortunately, Pépère has arthritis. His joints are inflamed and painful. He can't move around much anymore. Especially since he also has heart failure: his heart doesn't work properly anymore and he tends to be short of breath.

3. He has almost no teeth left

Over time, Pépère has lost most of his teeth. Today, he can't eat kibble and drools a lot.

His last teeth are bothering him, but we cannot put him to sleep to remove them: his heart would not be able to bear the anesthesia.

4. To continue to gain strength, he will need canned food of food.

With wet canned food, Pépère could continue to eat. This food is specially adapted to senior cats with chewing difficulties like Pépère.

5. We need help feeding cats in distress!

We recently picked up 14 cats. The poor things were on their own in an outdoor shelter. Most are elderly, disabled and weakened. They are going to need care, and special food that we can't afford to buy.
