Fernando is a 27 year old horse, who got Lyme disease after being bitten by a tick. He has lost a lot of weight, and sometimes he loses consciousness regularly. It is a vicious circle: the weaker he is, the more he loses consciousness...

2. He has no teeth and can't chew!

With age, Fernando has lost all his teeth. Today, he can't chew his food at all.

3. Pellets would help him gain strength without chewing

To regain weight and energy, Fernando will need pellets. We would crush them into a soup, so he wouldn't have trouble chewing them.
