Sore pads, removed eye, inflamed gums: the poor Pirate is is overwhelmed with health problems!

1. He is missing an eye...

Pirate is an 11 year old cat, who lost an eye due to abuse. We found him with his eye out of his socket! The vet could not do anything, he had to be completely removed from the eyeball. Pirate has a considerably reduced field of vision...

2. His pads are damaged and very painful

Pirate has a disease that affects his paw pads. They are cracked and compressed in some places. Despite regular care and bandages, the problem keeps coming back. It is so painful that Pirate limps when he walks!

3. His mouth is really painful!

Pirate unfortunately suffers from acute gingivostomatitis. The inside of his mouth is all inflamed and he has big red patches. It's so painful that he can hardly eat!

4. He is missing many teeth...

To fight against the accumulation of tartar and anticipate a dental loosening related to his gingivitis, the veterinarian preferred to remove most of Pirate's teeth (he has only 3 left). He can no longer chew kibble.

5. With canned food, he could take a treatment and get his energy back

Canned food would allow Pirate to take medication for pain and inflammation in his mouth.

As it is an easy food to ingest, he could also take advantage of it to regain his strength, and find some energy to fight against all his health worries.

6. Our financial resources are insufficient!

We have between 70 and 80 cats to manage. To provide for their needs, we organize fundraisings from time to time, but it doesn't work very well.

In fact, the situation has been complicated for the last two years: many events have been canceled, like the Christmas markets. So we have a huge lack in our budget!
