1. She suffered a lot from her hips and had to be operated...

Lilou is a 10-year-old dog, who had a hip dysplasia: she limped and suffered a lot. Sometimes, she was screaming with pain and could not get up anymore! She has just been operated on one of the two hips and is now in recovery.

As soon as she recovers, the vet will operate on her second hip. These successive operations should help her, but may also tire her a lot...

2. The operation has reactivated a dangerous parasitic disease!

Lilou unfortunately has leishmaniasis. This potentially fatal disease was transmitted to her by insect bites. Unfortunately, the operation on her hip reactivated some of her symptoms...

3. She also had surgery for a bowel problem

Affected by an inguinal hernia, Lilou had swollen intestines. The vet had to operate her to relieve her.

4. With canned food, she could recover from her operations

To recover from all these operations, Lilou will need to refuel. Highly nutritious canned food would help her regain her strength.

5. Veterinary fees are a barrier...

We recently had almost 1,500 euros in veterinary expenses. Buying food has become complicated. Collecting food in stores does not work: between Covid and the financial crisis, people have no more money to give.

However, we can't give up: dogs we take in count on us. Soon we will have to take in animals from Ukraine. We have to keep going!
