Breast tumors, vomiting, urinary infection... Ziva's health is in a very bad state!

1. She lived in the dark...

Ziva is a 12 years old dog, that we took in this winter. Since her owner had left for a nursing home, the poor thing was living in a garage without windows. Family members just came by to feed her from time to time...

2. She has liver problems

Ziva unfortunately developed serious liver problems. She suffers from a loss of appetite, vomits frequently and needs to drink a lot to avoid dehydration...

3. She is knocked out by a urinary infection

Ziva also has a very virulent cystitis! She has to take antibiotics to get rid of the bad bacteria in her bladder.

4. She is going to need surgery for breast tumors!

Since Ziva has never been spayed, she has developed mammary tumors. She will need surgery to remove them. But first we have to wait until her urinary tract infection is healed.

5. With canned food, she would regain her strength and stay hydrated

To get through this difficult time, Ziva is going to need to recharge her batteries. Canned of wet food would keep her hydrated while she regained her strength.

6. Veterinary expenses are a problem...

We recently had almost 1,500 euros in veterinary expenses. Buying food has become complicated. Collecting food in stores doesn't work: with Covid and the financial crisis, people don't have money to give.

However, we can't give up: dogs we take in count on us. Soon we will have to take in animals from Ukraine. We have to keep going!
