Loukoum is a cat who had to have an eye removed. He was injured during a fight and his eye started to get infected and purulent.
His field of vision is now reduced by half. The daily life is more complicated with this handicap...
Loukoum has just fallen sick: he has the calicivirus. He drools a lot because of inflammations in his mouth. As it is painful, he can't chew anymore... No more kibbles !
Until he gets better, we have antibiotic and cortisone tablets to give him in his food. But he has trouble taking them. It's a vicious circle...
Weakened by the virus and fatigue, Loukoum needs to rest. He'll be protected from draughts and his condition won't get worse if he's kept warm in blankets.
We feed a total of sixty cats, spread over 3 different sites. New cats have arrived recently, which means more people to feed.
Unfortunately, the few donations do not allow us to keep up: they are just used to support us for veterinary expenses. As for the collections in supermarkets, it doesn't work very well either. The few kibbles we collect are not of good quality and make the cats sick...
