Excessive saliva, difficulty chewing, thinness: Cassy has a calicivirus!

1. A disease prevents him from chewing and makes him lose weight...

Cassy is a cat affected by the calicivirus. He drools a lot and has difficulty to chew, because he suffers. He is therefore all skinny!

The vet prescribed cortisone and antibiotic tablets to relieve him and help him heal, but he has trouble taking them....

2. To keep him from getting worse, he'll need blankets to keep him warm

Weakened by illness, Cassy must avoid getting cold at all costs. With fleece blankets, he could retain his body heat, and rest until he gets better.

3. Too many cats, not enough donations...

We feed a total of about 60 cats, spread over 3 different sites. New cats have arrived lately, which means more people to feed.

Unfortunately, the few donations do not allow us to keep up: they are just used to support us for veterinary expenses. As for the collections in supermarkets, it doesn't work very well either. The few kibbles we collect are not of good quality and make the cats sick...
