1. A worm had colonized her pulmonary arteries!

Mary-Loo is a 13-year-old dog, who spent her life in the street, on the Reunion Island. Unfortunately, she contracted heartworm disease: following a mosquito bite, a worm invaded her pulmonary arteries.

We thought we were going to lose her, but thanks to a treatment, she recovered. Her heart remains fragile and she tires very quickly...

2. She doesn't have any teeth left!

Mary-Loo has been so badly neglected and underfed that she doesn't have a single tooth left. It is therefore impossible for her to chew...

3. With canned food, she could get her energy back

An easy to ingest, high quality food like cans would allow Mary-Loo to fill up on energy without any difficulties. Every day, she would be able to get her strength back without fear, which would be a great comfort to her after all that she has been through!

4. People can't donate anymore...

In the last few weeks, we have had a series of emergencies. The veterinary expenses are considerable... We tried to make appeals for donations, but with the crisis, people are impacted. They don't have the means to help us anymore!
