Animal Webaction visited the site 10 June 2022 and confirms the situation described below.

1. In Morocco, Hajar has almost no kibble left to feed the 80 street cats that depend on her, they will starve if no one intervenes!

%%%

"I feel great sadness for the 80 street cats I am currently taking care of, they live in horrible conditions and their behavior has changed... They have become aggressive and fight, they suffer from malnutrition and lack of hygiene, their health condition is getting worse: 70% have scabies, coryza or other infections. I fear that the lack of kibble will cause them even more complications...

I am devastated when I see that nobody cares about them, they only have me to feed them and spay them: if I stop, the situation will only get worse! But I don't even know if I'll be able to continue my actions much longer... Without help, I can't buy kibble anymore because the price has increased and pet shops no longer offer discounts. At the moment, I manage everything with credits; donations used to be my only solution but unfortunately they have become insufficient.

For the last 10 days, I have reduced the number of rounds, I only give kibble once a day, in small portions. This is clearly not enough, I am doing everything I can to prolong it but if I don't find kibble soon, I won't be able to help the poor street cats. I sorely need this campaign to succeed, because my cats only have me, I can't let them down..."

2. Very weakened by the coryza, little Lili will not survive without kibble.

###

"I have been taking care of Lili since she was born. She is a little kitten born in the street, she is very fragile because she caught ringworm and coryza at a very early stage. In spite of the treatments, the virus does not stop spreading on her body. Lili needs kibble as soon as possible to survive and strengthen her immune system!"

3. Hajar also welcomes 100 very fragile cats in her shelter, they too are threatened by the lack of kibble.

%%%

"At the shelter, many of my cats are fragile and need special attention, especially those who already have infections. Lately, I have been buying low quality kibble because I can't offer them anything better, which has had an impact on their health: some of my cats have lost weight, others are starting to get sick... This is really what worries me the most, because the cats rescued from the street are in a very bad state and need to gain weight to regain their strength...

Unfortunately I only have a few days of kibble left, and as with the street cats, I have had to cut back on the portions here too to save the very little I have left! I am very saddened by this situation: I don't want to see my cats die and become fragile under my eyes without my help... They depend on me, and only on me: I do not want to be responsible for their misfortune! It is imperative that this campaign succeeds..."

4. Rosa has lost weight and hair because of a disease that weakens her drastically, without kibble, Hajar knows she won't make it.

###

"Rosa is a street cat, she's around one year old. I found her in the street in a catastrophic state: she suffers from an intestinal infection and ringworm, she loses her hair in patches and has itching all over her body. At the moment, the medical treatment is not enough, Rosa needs a stable supply of kibbles in sufficient quantities for it to be really effective. It is simply a matter of life and death for her at this point..."

5. Indebted and with insufficient donations, Hajar fears for the health of her cats and for the continuation of the rescues if she does not receive kibble soon.

###

"The current lack of donations paralyzes my actions... I am forced to beg from one pet shop to another to find someone who will accept to give me kibble on credit. This is my only solution to continue taking care of these poor animals at the moment, but it can't last forever! The stores refuse to give me more kibble until I pay my debts already registered with them...

As if that wasn't enough, right now it's the heat period, which means that new unwanted kittens will be abandoned by their owners... As usual, they will catch coryza and a big majority will end up dying in the street if nobody intervenes to take care of them, feed them, spay them, vaccinate them... But despite all my good will, I can't do it without enough support! I really need this campaign to succeed so I can continue my actions for the cats; even small contributions can make a difference!"

6. Hajar isn't asking for money, only kibbles to prevent the cats from starving.

###

"I started my rescues more than 10 years ago. With my actions of care, sterilizations and adoptions, I try as best I can to decrease the proliferation of stray cats and to stop the spread of diseases. Often, the rejection of cats in the streets is the result of diseases, when people don't have the means to treat their cats, they prefer to abandon them... It's the same for sterilization. I don't understand people who refuse to sterilize their cats but then abandon them once they reproduce. At the moment I am actually finding more and more pregnant cats abandoned in the streets...

Fortunately there are also some positive developments: people in my neighborhood have become more cat-friendly, they come to me to ask for kibble to help me feed the local cats, there are 8 volunteers who help me with the feeding of strays now. I just hope this campaign succeeds because without kibble, everything falls apart and the cats suffer."

7. If this campaign is successful, Hajar will not receive any money but 1000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistical platform in Morocco, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

8. Rescues follow one another but the help received is not enough. Hajar can only count on this campaign to feed the cats in need!

"Right now, there is a shortage of donations, a shortage of kibble... Even if I ask for help and donations on Facebook, nothing is really working. The situation is getting worse and worse. Fortunately, the association Straycare International helps me, otherwise I would have stopped my actions a long time ago. Thanks to this help, I do a few sterilizations every 3 months.

But in spite of my good will, I am lacking enough rescources and there are still many cats that are neither sterilized nor vaccinated, and there are especially a lot of cats to feed! Without help and without donations, the future of my actions is more than compromised... Please help me, this campaign is my last hope!"

9. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the collected products, the beneficiary receives nothing and the buyers get a refund...

10. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies . It is very difficult to find funding for kibbles, many cats remain starving in the street!
