Dipsy is a 15-year-old cat who had calicivirus. Despite antibiotics and cortisone, the pain and inflammation did not go away. So all his teeth had to be removed. The disease passed thanks to that, but now Dipsy can't chew kibble anymore...
Canned food adapted for senior cats would be better for Dipsy than kibble. He'd just have to lap it up, and wouldn't need to chew. This would make it easier for him to refuel on a daily basis.
Many of the cats we feed are elderly and need special care and feeding. Unfortunately, veterinary food goes out very quickly, and we don't have enough money to buy more...
