Maïki is a 3 and a half years old cat, suffering from an auto-immune disease since his birth. This disorder causes him scars in several places of the body (belly, paws, chin, chest).
The wounds form scabs that swell and itch constantly. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it, except to give him a little cortisone to relieve him.
Because of the itching, Maïki is a stressed cat. Scratching exhausts him nervously. So he tends to lose weight...
With blankets, Maïki would be comfortable to rest. A little warmth and softness would certainly help to soothe him.
We have about twenty cats in long-term foster care. Many of them are unadoptable, because they are sick or too wild.
At the same time, we also have to feed and care for about twenty street cats. This requires a lot of resources, which we are unfortunately beginning to lack!
