When her owners realized her handicaps, they didn't want to keep poor Scarlet...

1. She is deaf...

Scarlet is a 6 months old dog, who is totally deaf. When they realized it, her adopters took her back to her breeder... The latter then entrusted us with Scarlet, so that we could take care of her.

2. She probably has heart and lung problems

Scarlet has a lot of trouble breathing. Even when she is awake, her breathing is very noisy. The vet suspects lung or heart problems, but we'll have to wait until she gets older to do more tests.

3. Canned food would help her gain strength

Until she's older, canned food would help Scarlet get her daily energy boost. A diet adapted to her needs would help her grow as normally as possible, despite her health concerns.

4. Donations are down!

It's quite complicated to collect in-store because there are only a few slots available. And when we manage to do so, donations are unfortunately not forthcoming. It is becoming more and more complicated to feed the sixty animals that rely on us!
