Unfortunately, I only have enough left to feed them for a few more days. After that, I won't have anything to give them! Because of the heat, the lack of food would be a disaster for them. Without canned food, they tend to dehydrate and lose weight very quickly...

"At the moment, donations are extremely low. But the needs are increasing, because there are more free cats... Even though I regularly communicate on the difficulties of the association or launch fundraising campaigns, my efforts do not pay off.
Between Covid and the war in Ukraine, we are going through a complicated period, both economically and politically. People are also affected by all these upheavals and they hardly give anything to associations, because they simply can't do it anymore.
I am facing an unprecedented lack of resources. Between fuel, medicine and canned food for the cats, our coffers are completely empty. Once my rent is paid, I only have 400 euros left to live on and to feed 300 cats... It's really, really hard."

"Zetes is an 18-year-old free cat who has been living outside his whole life. In order to survive and get food, he sometimes gets hurt in fights. A short time ago, a cat scratched him hard in the left eye, causing a big gash!
In addition to suffering and being down, Zetes is now handicapped, as the wound reduces his field of vision. If we don't have any more canned food to give him, he won't be able to fend for himself, and may be among the first cats to starve to death..."

"No one really cares about cats on a daily basis. It's always a real expedition to go and feed them! I live on the 3rd floor without elevator, so loading my car is always physically demanding. Sometimes I don't have the strength to go anymore, but I always end up going back.
As there are works on the banks of the river following the floods of this winter, I have to move certain feeding points, so that cats do not find themselves in the middle of the building sites. It means even more time and energy to give...
It has been 22 years since I last visited my own family in Greece. It is unthinkable for me that cats would be left to themselves! I would have more than 300 dead animals on my conscience if I went away... I wouldn't forgive myself."
