Joy is a dog who was found on the island of Reunion, abandoned near trash cans. The poor girl is suffering from dirofilariosis: worms are present in some of her arteries, which makes her tired and weak.
The treatment for this disease is long and expensive. Joy is still in care for the moment, but as soon as she gets better we will bring her to France, where she will go to a foster family who will take good care of her.
Once in France, Joy may be weakened by the winter temperatures. Fleece blankets would help her to keep her body warm while she acclimatizes.
Our association takes care of dogs in distress in Reunion Island. We fly them to France, where they are placed in foster homes while waiting to be adopted.
Last year alone, we were able to repatriate and adopt 430 dogs. While waiting for their new home, all these animals need bedding and blankets, as they are not used to the temperatures in our latitudes. Your help would be very precious to us!
