1. In France, Nadine is almost out of kibble to feed the 200 street cats who rely on her... The poor things are in danger of starving to death!

"Our association takes care of feeding 200 street cats, spread over a dozen sites. Unfortunately, the costs are piling up and the last collection we made in the shop did not work. Our stocks have never been so low! Our finances are dwindling, and we don't have the personal means to buy everything ourselves.

We have been forced to ration the poor street cats for several months now. The little kibble we have left is of poor quality, but that is all we have! Soon we won't have anything left to give to all these cats... they will die if we can't help them!"

2. Kittens are arriving in numbers, but donations do not follow... the association is destitute!

"We don't have any help or subsidies. Despite our appeals for help, this is the first year that donations have been so low... The volunteers have given all they can, but they can no longer keep up! How can we pay the 2,000 euros in veterinary fees each month, when we can't even afford to feed the free cats?

In this already precarious situation, things are not getting any better following the school holidays: we had to take in about fifty kittens, and about twenty are still outside! Many of the adult cats are also sick with coryza... None of them will be able to survive without kibble!"

3. Skeletal and ill, poor Boy will not survive without kibble!

"Boy is a 5 year old cat who lives on the street and has calicivirus. This disease causes him to have very painful micro-lesions and inflammations in his mouth. As his body is exhausted, Boy doesn't have a nice coat, and he is getting thinner by the minute...

From time to time we have to take him to the vet to have an injection of antibiotics. Despite this treatment, he still has great difficulty feeding himself and gaining weight: we have to give him separate kibbles, as it takes him a long time to eat them. He is so skeletal that if we don't have any more kibble for him, he won't survive!"

4. Nadine is not asking for money, she just needs kibble to prevent the cats from starving.

"I have been dedicated to the animal cause for forty years. Seeing all the cats in need has made my heart ache... It was to help them that we created the association 7 years ago.

Every day, I spend at least 5 hours, often more, taking care of them. On a personal level, this means a lot of hardship on many levels. But I can't abandon them!"
