Mimosa is in a bind: she is sick, but too skinny to be treated!

1. Her gums and tonsils are very inflamed...

Mimosa is a 9 year old cat, who we found wandering around outside. The poor girl is suffering from gingivo-amygdalitis: her gums and tonsils are so painful that she drools a lot and can't chew anymore.

2. She is too skinny to be operated!

Removing some of Mimosa's teeth could give her some relief, but it is not possible at the moment. Indeed, Mimosa is too skinny, and thus too fragile to be able to support a possible anesthesia. So we put her under treatment, hoping that she will gain some weight...

3. With canned food, she could gain weight and be treated

A very high protein and easy to eat diet like canned food would be a good solution to help Mimosa. It would allow her to gain weight quickly, so that she could be operated on her teeth.

4. There are a lot of abandonments!

Right now, it's really hard. There are so many abandoned cats that we can't take care of them for 15 days. We are currently taking care of 45 kittens, and about 40 adults...

Many of them are sick, which represents expenses. And as it is summer, people are on vacations and do not think of making donations or adopting.
