Animal Webaction
This campaign has failed... SOS Famine 300 dogs Morocco hasn't received anything. Why?

It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.

When a campaign fails, why can't you at least deliver what has been collected ?

We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.

Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...

The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).

Why can't you at least transfer the collected money to the association ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).

For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.

If you can't transfer the collected money to the association, why don't you just send it to another one ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).

So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.

What happens to the free clicks assigned to a failed campaign?

Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).

1. In Morocco, Ahmed is almost out of kibble to feed the 300 dogs in the association's care, they will starve if no one intervenes!

%%%

"The dogs that arrive at the shelter are in a catastrophic state of health! We do our best to look after them with the help of the vet but some of them are too fragile to recover from the traumas of the street, it takes a lot of time and money to take care of them and prepare them for adoption... Their numbers are not decreasing, there is always a new dog arriving from the pound or the street who needs our help to survive...

There are so many of them that we do our best to feed them: we give them kibble when we have it, otherwise we give them rice, paws mixed with restaurant leftovers... We have been rationing them for several months. Today, I have a few bags left which will last a few days, but after that, I will have nothing left... Our only solution to feed them and give them a second chance is this kibble campaign, we need it to succeed..."

2. Ahmed is the only hope of the street dogs: they depend on him to survive, but he has no more kibble to bring them...

###

"Unfortunately we can't afford to take in all the dogs at the shelter! When we can afford it, we go and feed them on the street. The problem is that our stock of kibble is never the same, it fluctuates according to the donations we receive. So I can say that we have been rationing street dogs forever...

The solution would be to sterilise the dogs en masse, we are actively working on this project as it is the only solution that would allow the dogs to stop reproducing so quickly! Recently, there has been a lot of poisoning in the street: it is abominable to see these poor dogs dying in this way! That's why we take in as many as possible here at the shelter. But the others, those on the street... They need us to survive the hell of wandering! We need kibble to save them!"

3. Doggy is too weak to survive without kibble.

###

"Doggy was abandoned by his owner because he couldn't afford to take care of him anymore... He has such big tumours that the vet can't do anything... According to him, a surgical operation would not change anything, the tumours would come back immediately... So we are doing our best to give Doggy a nice retirement, and that means providing him with food and water, and lots of attention. He is very weak, he needs kibble to stay alive and not suffer from his tumours!"

4. Without subsidies, the association suffers enormously from the drop in donations and inflation: Ahmed accumulates debts and is no longer able to buy kibbles.

###

"The recent inflation has turned everything upside down! Everything is more expensive, food, veterinary treatments, gas, even leftovers from restaurants... We are doing our best to keep our heads above water, but this means using our salaries, our savings and those of our relatives.

Indeed, our association only functions thanks to the generosity of people, without their donations we could not save all these dogs in distress. Today, we receive so few donations that we have had to go into debt with vets and suppliers of food and other products necessary for the dogs' lives. We have contacted associations in Morocco and abroad, but nobody helps us in the long term, we are alone... We need this kibble campaign more than ever, the survival of the dogs depends on it!"

5. Ahmed isn't asking for money, only kibble to keep the dogs from starving.

###

"I have dedicated my life to street dogs, I call them my children: they are my family, these innocent creatures who are voiceless and cannot defend themselves, I try to help them as best I can with the means I have.

Sometimes I get very depressed... But when I observe the evolution in the long term, it reassures me, I feel that there is an awakening. We have to help each other for these animals, because without that, they have no chance of surviving the hell of the street! Before our association, dogs were systematically killed: today many are brought to the doors of the shelter, and from my point of view, it is a success!"

7. If this campaign succeeds, Ahmed will not receive any money but 3500 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Morocco which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles throughout the country.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

Liste des récoltes échouées

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the collected products, the beneficiary receives nothing and the buyers get a refund.

8. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies . It is very difficult to find funding for kibbles, many dogs remain starving in the street!
