Endangered by a virus, Armani had to go to the hospital!

1. He is very sick...

Armani is a 3-year-old-cat, who arrived at a feeding site with calicivirus. He drools a lot, his gums are all red and he has difficulties to eat by himself. He is therefore very skinny...

2. In a critical condition, he had to be hospitalized...

Armani was so dehydrated that we had to take him to the vet. He has been there for several days, under perfusion. We keep our fingers crossed that his condition will improve!

3. Canned food would help him get back on track

Highly nutritious, canned food could be a great help to Armani. Since it's a wet food, he would have less trouble staying hydrated. It would also be a chance for him to replenish his vitamins, to regain some energy and gain weight!

4. There are a lot of abandonments...

With the heat, many cats become weak and sick. Many of them have contracted calicivirus. This is also the time of year when the abandonment rate increases drastically!

We do everything we can to track them down, care for them and put them in foster homes, but it is becoming more and more complicated.
