Damaged teeth, arthrosis, bad head carriage... poor Fernando is suffering from a degenerative disease!

1. He has Lyme disease...

Fernando is a 30-year-old horse, that we took in to save him from being slaughtered. Unfortunately he suffers from Lyme disease, transmitted by ticks. One of his legs is stiff and full of arthritis. He also has trouble holding his head upright... as it is degenerative, it will only get worse!

2. His teeth are damaged!

With age, the state of Fernando's teeth has deteriorated. Some of his teeth had to be removed, and the others are too damaged to allow him to chew his food.

3. Wet pellets would help him regain his strength

With sufficiently moistened pellets, Fernando would have less difficulty feeding. He could continue to gain strength, and gain energy, despite the illness.

4. Donations have drastically decreased!

Funds are not coming in and there are no events. We have tried to revive sponsorships, but it is not easy. Many people have stopped donating since the war in Ukraine, because they prefer other causes.

So I have to advance money to the association, but I won't be able to do it for long...
