1. He was about to be killed...

Fred is a 6 year old former trotter. As he was not fast enough for the race, his breeder had put him to slaughter! Fortunately, we were able to take him in.

2. Pellets would help maintain him

To keep Fred healthy and meet his daily food needs, we would need pellets. Rich in oat bran and wheat bran, they would provide him with all the energy he needs.

3. Drought hits us hard!

We have been suffering from drought episodes for several years. The horses are on hay all year long because there is no grass outside. The most vulnerable ones need to be supplemented, but we don't have the financial means to buy them pellets!
