Shaggy hair, loss of condition, abscesses: Goodboy has cushing's disease!

1. He is blind in one eye...

Goodboy is a 28 year old horse, that we took in 2 years ago. Unfortunately, he has lost sight in one eye. His field of vision is therefore very reduced, which is a handicap for him in his daily life!

2. He has cushing's disease!

Goodboy has cushing's disease. His hair is shaggy, he has difficulty to recover and he has abscesses on the back of his feet. Despite treatment, these abscesses come back very regularly.

3. He has digestion problems because he has no teeth at all

With age, Goodboy has lost all his teeth. Since he can't chew his food anymore, he tends to have diarrhea and digestive problems.

4. Pellets would help him get back into better shape

A rich diet like pellets would help Goodboy regain his strength. We would moisten them for him, so that he could ingest them without difficulty.

5. It's a dead end!

Right now, we don't have much funding. The food stocks are almost gone, and we will have to face big veterinary expenses. Donations are unfortunately insufficient to allow us to get out of this impasse...
