Blind, Captain tends to be defensive and was almost euthanized!

1. He was at risk of being euthanized because of behavioral concerns...

Captain is a 7 year old horse, who had been declared dangerous and was in danger of being euthanized. He is in fact blind, and has a tendency to attack humans because he cannot see them.

So we took him in and gave him eye care, so he would suffer less. He was also put in a field with another pony, which helps to calm him down.

2. Pellets would help him to gain strength

In order to be in shape every day, Captain would need pellets. Such a complete and balanced diet would give him all the energy he needs to be in shape, despite his visual handicap.

3. Inflation hits everyone hard!

With inflation, many people can no longer afford to take care of their pets. We have taken in a number of them, which has resulted in large veterinary costs. But the price increases are affecting us too and we are struggling to get by...
