1. In Serbia, Gorica is almost out of kibble to feed the 131 dogs at her shelter. They will starve unless someone helps!

%%%

"The number of dogs in my care has increased a lot recently as people are throwing their dogs out on the street or leaving them outside my shelter, knowing that I can't ignore an animal in need! We have many mouths to feed, few adoptions and there are fewer and fewer people who can help us. The current economic crisis is affecting everything: our donations are down and inflation is soaring...

I am finding it very difficult to feed my dogs, the price of kibble has gone through the roof and even the chicken I used to buy from time to time is now out of reach! I don't have enough personal funds or donations to buy the necessary quantities. And now I only have a few kilos of kibble left, not even enough to last until the end of the month... Honestly, I don't know how to describe the current situation...

I'm old, I'm sick, and although my nature has always been to focus on the positive, the difficulties keep piling up and I can no longer cope on my own. I know there are people out there who love and care about animals as much as I do... I just hope they will consider participating in this campaign, because we need this kibble more than anything! You are our light at the end of the tunnel, our only hope... my dogs' fate depends on you!"

2. A food shortage is imminent at the shelter: the dogs are too weak to survive the harsh Serbian winter without kibble!

###

"Winter is the most chaotic time for us! The temperatures are very harsh here and my dogs have to eat more to cope. We can't afford to cut back on portions or even lower the quality of kibble, it would be like condemning them to death in this cold weather! However, my remaining stock will not last more than a few days... If I don't find a way to obtain some more, my dogs will become aggressive, fight and get sick... The weakest ones will not survive!

My priority at the moment is to find a way to provide my dogs with enough kibble to get them through this period as peacefully as possible. Everything else takes a back seat... even my own health! I am ill and have to go away for an operation, but I refuse to go until I find a way to ensure my dogs will have enough food in my absence.

I'm very anxious, in constant spasms, worried about how I'm going to cope with it all... My dogs mean everything to me, my love for them is huge and I couldn't bear to see them in danger. I need a new supply of quality kibble, it's the only way my dogs will survive the winter and Animal Webaction is the only organization that can help us obtain it!"

3. Extremely skinny and malnourished, Pegi needs this kibble delivery to achieve a full recovery!

###

"I found Pegi on the street in a bad state, I couldn't leave her there! She was literally just skin and bones and shaking all over. She has been in my shelter for a week now and although she is starting to get better, she needs a steady diet to fully recover! She is too weak to endure kibble deprivation and she is also too weak to fight other dogs for food... This phase of her recovery is crucial, we can't let her down now!"

4. Donations are dwindling and Gorica's meagre pension is not enough to fill the gap... She can only count on this campaign to provide food for her dogs!

###

"There are very few people in this country who think of our organization when it comes to making donations. But the economic crisis in Serbia has only made our already precarious situation even worse! Many people don't help me at all anymore and I am really in a difficult situation. We have received only two small donations of kibble in the last few months, which allowed us to survive, but the received kibble will be used up in only a few days, so I have no choice but to beg for help again...

I only have a small pension, I don't have enough funds to buy kibble every month for so many dogs, especially since the prices keep going up... The high cost of veterinary services is also a big problem. We have had to suspend veterinary care for a month because I simply do not have enough funds to cover it... The lack of kibble, donations, sponsorships, and adoptions... all this makes me terribly worried about the future of the shelter.

If I can't get kibble for the next period, I will have to close the shelter and I won't be able to help the street dogs either... I can't even bear that thought. I can't give up my dogs, they mean everything to me! When I started this adventure, I thought I could do it alone, without anyone's help, but everything has changed now and I have to ask for help constantly... I can't continue to take care of the dogs in the shelter and the dogs on the streets without you!"

5. Gorica isn't asking for money, only kibble to keep her dogs from starving.

###

"I have always felt sad when I saw street dogs being abused by people. I never understood why people abandon and abuse them, so my goal in creating my association and shelter was simple: I wanted to save them from a bad life! Saving a dog is an extraordinary adventure, one that makes me feel deeply useful. This is what made me want to continue in this way.

However, running a shelter is a lot of work and everything is done outside. There is a lot to clean, to wash, and in my case, a lot of dogs to feed... 131 dogs depend on me every day, it's a huge task and I'm not getting any younger! Still, I hope that I can overcome this difficult situation and that one day the shelter will be taken over by someone who loves dogs at least as much as I do and will continue to care for them for as long as it takes!"

6. If this campaign succeeds, Gorica will not receive any money but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Serbia.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform directly in Serbia, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Suffering from serious health issues, Gorica can't undergo surgery until she finds a way to get kibble for her dogs. Only this campaign can help her!

"My health is not good... I have to undergo an operation but I don't have the funds to pay someone to take over, nor do I have enough kibble to feed the dogs in my absence. I am an old woman, I don't know how to use the phone or the internet. I don't understand technology and it is very difficult for me to find new ways to get kibble. You are my only hope to get some!

Dogs do not deserve to have a bad life, to suffer the various atrocities that happen to them. They depend on us humans and must be saved. Yet there are only a very few people who care for them, rescue them or help make their lives easier and more beautiful in any way. I am old now, I don't have the same strength as before to carry out my actions but I can't bring myself to let them down. 131 souls are counting on me and I will fight for them until my last breath, but I need everyone's support to do it!"'
