1. In Morocco, Hanane has almost no kibble left to feed her shelter’s 180 dogs. They will starve if no one helps!

%%%

"At the shelter, I look after 180 dogs and this number is constantly increasing, despite all my efforts to sterilise the strays: dog abandonment is constant! And the consequences can be terrible for abandoned dogs if they are not taken care of: the authorities can be called to capture them and take them to the pound where conditions are appalling...

Lack of resources is the main problem I face to care for and feed my dogs; prices are rising and donations are falling as I have lost donors! It's too difficult for me to buy kibble... I have to ration the few remaining kilos, which will only last a few days...

I deprive myself of a lot of things to provide for the dogs, but it's not enough anymore... I'm distressed and I don't know where to turn! This campaign is my only hope to continue helping abandoned dogs. I fear my dogs will starve if it fails!"

2. Dogs are already suffering from the lack of kibble: they are on edge, getting thinner and weaker... The most fragile ones will not survive if the campaign fails!

###

"I can't afford to feed my dogs properly anymore... They eat a mixture of kibble and canned food, as I try to supplement their diet and save as much kibble as I can. I know that this is not enough to meet their needs, especially as the dogs often only have one meal a day instead of the usual two...

The lack of kibble is seriously affecting my dogs; they are more aggressive and bark a lot more! They have lost weight and I am afraid that their health is deteriorating rapidly. On top of that, some of my dogs have serious infections and without kibble they won't have a chance to cope with their heavy treatment!

The stray dogs I feed will also be severely affected by the lack of kibble - they are already suffering as I can no longer make many rounds with so little money! These dogs' lives are heartbreaking... I'm under a lot of stress and I can't imagine the campaign failing; I can't bear to see my dogs sick, starving and dying..."

3. Khalouch is extremely emaciated and weak: he won't build up his strength without this kibble delivery... His survival depends on it!

###

"Kahlouch is a very timid four-year-old dog. He was rescued from the street in a state of extreme thinness and weakness... He is very fragile and has difficulty standing on his feet. To recover and gain weight, Kahlouch needs regular amounts of quality food, at all costs! His survival depends on this kibble delivery, because if he doesn't eat enough, he could quickly fall into a critical state..."

4. Hanane has lost donors and in this inflationary context, covering the dogs' needs is a constant struggle: this campaign must succeed!

###

"There are currently five dogs in the shelter that need chemotherapy, but we still can't start these treatments because of the lack of resources... My appeals for donations and help don't change anything. It breaks my heart to see these dogs suffer because of the lack of money, I feel so helpless!

The shelter's expenses have skyrocketed with inflation, while donations are down because I have lost many donors due to the crisis. The debts are swelling and piling up with the vet and the kibble supplier... I have to find a way to pay the latter back, if I want to buy kibble on credit again!

There is indeed one sponsor who sends a small amount every three months, but otherwise, without additional help, it is impossible to provide for the dogs' needs... My association's very small treasury is insufficient to cover all the costs. Without this kibble campaign, I don't know how I'll be able to feed my dogs!"

5. Hanane isn't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"My action is not limited to offering shelter to the dogs: we sterilise a dozen dogs every month, with the support of the veterinarian, to reduce the proliferation of strays and limit disease epidemics... But more funding is needed for these sterilisation campaigns, as I do not receive any substantial regular aid for these programmes!

In spite of some criticism, the association's action is mostly supported by the community... I hope that this recognition will continue to grow and that we will be able to do even more for the abandoned dogs in the region! I am proud of the work our shelter has done, but we still have a long way to go...

Besides, adoptions have decreased in the last few months; people are more and more reluctant to adopt a pet because of the extra costs involved, especially in these times of inflation. When I see the abandoned dogs I rescue heal and come back to life, it gives me the will to continue for them! But I really need more support to give them a better life..."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Hanane will not receive any money but 2000 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction's logistics centre in Morocco.

Animal Webaction has a logistics centre in Morocco, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

7. Hanane's supporters have already done everything to help her feed the dogs... Receiving less and less donations and help, this campaign is her last chance to get kibble!

"Apart from the support of a sponsor, who sends me a small amount of money every trimester, I don't have any other recurrent help or partnerships... I post on my social networks to try to raise funds, collect money, products, kibble... But I can't manage to get enough people involved to support me in paying for veterinary care and helping the dogs! It's hard to see animals suffering without being able to do much...

The fact that I have lost donors, who have been affected by the crisis, has a direct impact on the animals that need care... I need all the help I can get to continue protecting the dogs! They cannot speak for themselves, we are their voice and protector. I must do everything in my power to help them, even if it means asking others for help. Thank you to Animal Webaction for organising this campaign and thank you to everyone who will help make this campaign a success - the dogs' survival depends on it!"

8. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

9. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many dogs remain starving on the street!
