Poor Hermine was locked up without food!

1. She was badly neglected!

Hermine is a 28 year old donkey, who had been sold by a trader to an individual who could not care for her. So she was locked up and left without food, when we were called to get her out.

2. She has health concerns...

Hermine has a uterine prolapse: her reproductive organs can sometimes protrude outside her body, which often requires an emergency vet visit. She is also missing teeth, which makes it difficult for her to chew food.

3. Pellets would help him to keep his condition

To keep her weight down due to her health concerns, Hermine will need to be supplemented with pellets. When ground down to a pulp, she'll have no trouble eating them!

4. Our budget is in trouble!

We have recently taken in two new elderly donkeys. To feed them represents a big budget. Without counting the veterinary emergencies which follow one another for a pony... The finances of the association are put to the test!
