Inflamed feet, trouble moving... Amber is afflicted with laminitis!

1. His feet hurt...

Amber is a 14 year old horse, who suffers from laminitis. Because his hooves are sore and inflamed, he has some difficulty moving around.

2. Pellets would help him maintain his condition

Because of his foot pain, Amber moves less and tends to lose weight. With regular supplementation with pellets, he would be assured of being able to maintain his condition despite this.

3. We are still paying the consequences of last summer's drought!

We are paying the consequences of last summer's drought as our hay supplies are now at an all-time low. At the same time, there are many incoming requests for intake and abandonment of horses.

About twenty horses are currently managed by the association (without counting those in foster care). Donations are far from being enough to get us out of this situation!
