Étoile is a cat that we found outside, emaciated and dehydrated. He was probably not able to eat anymore, because he had bad teeth and ulcers on his tongue. We had to hospitalize him for a while...

2. Several major health problems made him very fragile!

In addition to his sore mouth, Étoile has tested positive for FIV, a disease that could attack his immune system if it were to break out. He also has a hole in his heart, related to a heart defect from birth. All of this makes him very vulnerable...

3. Canned food would help him continue to regain his strength

With wet diet like canned food, Étoile could continue to regain his strength, without having too much pain in his mouth when he eats. It would be a chance for him to get stronger, despite his health concerns.
