Papi Kalou is a 15 year old cat, who tested positive for FIV. This disease is called feline AIDS when it is triggered, and can wipe out an animal's immune system.
Papi Kalou is immunologically vulnerable and has skin problems. He also suffers from gingivitis, which makes his gums particularly painful.
With age, Papi Kalou has started to suffer from kidney failure. As his kidneys do not function properly anymore, his body has difficulties to evacuate toxins.
In order to keep going despite his health concerns, Papi Kalou will need adapted canned food. A diet specially designed for cats with kidney problems would be perfect for him. It would allow him to get his energy back, without making his condition worse.
Between the free-roaming cats and the foster cats, we have high food costs. Unfortunately, our association has very little money coming in at the moment...
